It’s been awhile since the last post but was at Toraya, a Japanese restaurant in Chatswood today and this is what I had..
Not as good as my favourite katsu place in Ikebukuro but it’s still yummy.
I love mustard with my katsu.

Finally packed our bags and returned to Australia.
At a farewell party, a friend prepared hand-rolled sushi and chicken kara-age.
It was fun and healthy and the chicken kara-age was especially nice as they were
light and flavoursome.

I had “oden” (Japanese version of hot pot) last weekend at an
“o-hanami” (cherry blossom viewing) party.
Because we had so much food (for the 13 of us), we had to cook them in 3 rounds.
Turns out, that was actually just the right amount of time to get the radish cooked.
Perfect…
